- Based at Snowbird and Canyons Ski Areas, Powderbird Helicopter Skiing operates throughout the beautiful Wasatch Mountains of Northern Utah.
- Powderbird provides guided access for the general public on specific permitted portions of the Uinta Wasatch Cache National Forest. All of our operations occur within multiple use areas that are intended to be shared by a variety of users. In order to facilitate this sharing Powderbird posts information noting the main drainages in which we will likely operate as well as areas where we will not be operating in order to help other backcountry users in their decisions. Although we take dozens of skiers into the backcountry each day we use multiple helicopters to spread out our operations from Ogden to Provo in order to limit our use of popular and congested areas. We do not operate in Big, Little or Mill Creek Canyons (Tri-Canyon Area) on any Sundays, and most Mondays. Weather permitting we generally operate at least one helicopter somewhere in the Tri-Canyon Area the other days of the week.
