1-25-2016

Today 1-25-2016 we did not operate due to weather.  Lingering snow showers kept us on the ground this morning.  Orographic lifting and a NW flow continued to produce unstable weather in Little Cottonwood throughout the day.  The backcountry received a nice reset from this storm.  Tuesday 1-26-2016 we will be starting the morning by assisting Alta in avalanche control work for their resort.  We will also be conducting our own avalanche stability analysis south in American Fork Canyon, Mineral Fork, Cardiff Fork, as well as in the Cascade Mountains.  Once complete, we will be utilizing multiple helicopters to take skiers into the multiple different backcountry areas.  We will spread our operations between multiple circuits which allows us to find the best skiing for our groups and minimize our impact to other users in the backcountry.  We will be operating in the Tri-Canyon Area and you can expect to see us in Silver, Days, Cardiff, Mineral Forks as well as White Pine.  We will also be skiing off of multiple drops in American Fork Canyon and further south in Cascade.  If you have any questions give us a call at 801-742-2800.
